as是考研英语中十分常见的单词，用法灵活多样，是英语中最常用的词汇之一。as主要有两种词性，分别为介词和连词。as作为介词时，用法和语义较单一，其含义为“作为”。但是as作为连词词性时，其用法和功能较多，可以引导各类从句，例如：时间状语从句、原因状语从句、让步状语从句、方式状语从句、比较状语从句等。
